telc Deutsch A1 Examination
You can register below for the A1 level telc German examination up until five weeks before the exam date. The written part lasts about 90 minutes and takes place in the morning, while the oral part lasts about 20 minutes and takes place in the afternoon. Exam results and your telc certificate will be sent to you by post approximately five to eight weeks after the examination.

Time commitment: 1-2 day
Exam times: various times between 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.
Registration deadline: up to 5 weeks before the exam
It is not possible to take only one part of the exam.
Examination: CHF 200.–
Registering for an examination is final. Examination fees must be paid before the examination date.
A CHF 75.– fee will be charged for cancellations up until five weeks before the examination date. The full fees must be paid for all cancellations after this time. Fees will not be refunded if you do not attend or do not pass the examination. If, no later than three days after the start of the exam, a doctor's note proves that participation was not possible due to illness, half of the fee will be refunded.
Due to the current corona pandemic, the K5 Basler Kurszentrum may be obliged to implement protective measures (e.g. keeping your distance). By registering for the exam the participant confirms that the K5 Basler Kurszentrum is entitled to take appropriate measures if necessary. People with symptoms of illness are not allowed to take the exam. In this case, the examination fees will not be refunded.
The K5 Basler Kurszentrum conducts the telc exam. The oral exam is assessed directly by the telc examiners present. The correction and assessment of the written exam is carried out by the telc GmbH, which is independent from the K5 Basler Kurszentrum.
