German for Women
Would you like to improve your German together with other women? In this intensive course just for women, you will learn German for everyday situations such as doctor’s appointments, shopping, finding a job or visiting your children’s school. In addition, you will learn about important aspects of life in Switzerland and the Basel area.
Course: German for Women (with childcare)
Course length: 16–17 weeks, 198 lessons
Course times: Monday to Thursday, 9.00–11.35 a.m.
Level: A1–B2 based on the CEFR
Fees (depending on income):
For Basel-Stadt resident: CHF 280.– to CHF 1,960.–
For Baselland resident: CHF 560.– to CHF 2,240.– (from course-level B2 onwards CHF 2,800.–)
For residents of other cantons and referring agencies: CHF 2,800.–
Per child: CHF 240.– to 1,580.–

Project week for mothers: fun and educational ideas for playing with your child
Take advantage of our qualified childcare team’s expertise. During our project week for mothers, we develop ideas together for fun, creative and educational activities. We also discuss healthy behaviour and share our experiences with one another. Please contact our childcare team for more information.
Important additional information: You can combine this course with a Basic Skills Module (e.g. Computer Skills in German, Finding a Job in German) on Friday mornings.

A written confirmation of participation will be issued at the end of a course if a participant has finished the course. This confirmation includes course content, course dates, course level(s) and number of lessons.
For private payers the possibility of a course and childcare fee reduction will be reviewed at the time of registration. A fee reduction is based on a family’s income, which must be shown in writing when registering for a course. Residents of Basel-Stadt must provide verification that they receive a health insurance premium fee reduction; residents of Baselland must provide a salary statement.
Course fees may be paid in instalments. The first instalment is due when the course begins. Course fees must be paid in full before the end of the course.
Course registration may be cancelled at no cost up until one week before the course begins. If course registration is cancelled within two weeks after the course begins, a fee of CHF 75.– will be charged. As of the third course week, the full course fees will be billed.
